Welcome to our third list of New Zealand collected seed. The climate in New Zealand is exceptionally diverse and this allows us to grow and collect an incredible range of seed. We started producing a seed list in 1986 offering only a handful of species,since then we have steadily increased the number and variety.

Every year we look for new species and this year is no exception with an increased range especially of New Zealand natives and hope there is something to excite everyone. We also continue to offer many of the species that are well known and a garden should not be without.

We have made good collection of Maple seed which has always been one of the main features of our seed list and luckily we have managed to collect a good range of seed from a wonderful collection of Maples including a good range of Japanese Maples. Some of this seed has been tested and we are getting some really good variations in the seedlings. This seed has exceptional viability due to the high light levels plants receive during the growing season in New Zealand which packs the seed full of the carbohydrates necessary to grow away quickly.

Look for our increased range of New Zealand natives some possibly not yet tried in Europe particularly the range of Aciphyla species. These are tremendous unique architectural plants with their spiky cut foliage and tall flower spikes. We have also added two wonderful silver foliaged Astelia's the larger Astela chathamica"Silver Spear" and a selection of the smaller more compact lpine species Astelia nervosa "Silver Ghost"
