Welcome to our Web site and our second list of New Zealand collected seed. As we make collections of new species over the next year we will offer this seed directly on our web site.  We  have a good crop of the superb Michelia yunnanensis Velvet and Cream seed which will is ready now as generous packets

The climate in New Zealand is exceptionally diverse and this allows us to grow and collect an incredible range of seed. We have managed to collect a fascinating range of seed in our first collecting season. Our list will increase dramatically in the future as the plants in our new garden start to produce seed and our seed collecting trips range further a field.

Maples have always been one of the main features of our seed list and luckily we have managed to collect a good range of seed from a wonderful collection of Maples including a good range of Japanese Maples. Some of this seed has been tested and we are getting some really good variations in the seedlings. This seed has exceptional viability due to the high light levels plants receive in New Zealand during the growing season which packs the seed full of the carbohydrates necessary to grow away quickly.

We have added to our collection of Helleborus seed in our Helleborus Kiwi Hybrids range. The lovely New Zealand Native Dodonea viscosa Purpurea should be better known, a tough evergreen New Zealand native with wonderful red foliage which intensifies in colour during the winter .Small bronze flowers are produced in spring followed by large conspicuous red papery seed cases .

We are offering bumper packs of fresh Helleborus seed. collected and moist stored, to maintain its viability and will be offering more varieties in future lists.
